I’ve been gardening since I was a child – I’ve always loved digging in the dirt. I love to trade plants, and friends will confirm my mantra, when asked if I want a plant is, “I’ll take it. I want everything.”
A couple of years ago I was introduced to a fellow gardener whose focus was on tropical plants. I fell in love with her garden and the exotic nature of rice paper plants, bananas, papyrus, elephant ears, cannas and well – all of them!
I’ve been adding tropicals to my garden since then, and even built a greenhouse to overwinter the more sensitive varieties. I’m officially hooked on tropical plants!
